Breyerfest English Performance

There were technical difficulties here and there through virtual Breyerfest. That included some internet issues for some of the show judges. English Performance ran pretty late, which added to the horse show feel. The first class I had in the division was Jumper/cross country. There were 53 entries. Bring the Mayhem got 10th place.

The next class was other English. Lady Liberty got 4th place with her therapeutic riding entry. Therapeutic riding is very important to me so this was awesome.

Bring the Mayhem got 8th place with his horseball entry.

The last class in the English division was English showmanship/equitation/horsemanship. There were 31 entries. I will admit, my entries were very lazy. I meant to do English showmanship with Lady Liberty, but I forgot when I was doing the photos. And I entered this terrible photo that had nothing in the marker that clearer should have had some flowers in it. I was really not surprised that Lady Liberty didn't place.

There was also not any surprise about Bring the Mayhem not placing.

My first time showing at Breyerfest was actually a lot like everyone said it would be. The classes are huge and even if you are normally a really excellent shower, you are lucky to place at all in these classes. From the entire show I ended up with 6 placings, the highest being 4th. But I tried it out and I got to play with my performance stuff. It also got me thinking about my entries a lot. Some of my photos were really boring. Yes, a technically correct entry is very important, but then you need to make it visually interesting. Some of my entries are really fun to look at, and some of them are really meh. I think I have the motivation to up my game.

Breyerfest 2020 had so many entries! It must be so hard to compete against everybody in the world.
