I also am still getting plenty of requests for hoodie dolls. I am still super happy that the casual dolls are really popular at the moment. I am definitely going to make sure I have casual dolls of many kinds available at my next live sale.
This western pleasure doll was actually one that I made several years ago. She was purchased second hand, her top was stained and damaged and the customer decided she would like a different top. The original was a light color and was just not the preference. I know that royal blue goes really well with this yellowish gold color, so I made this royal blue top, dug out some ribbon that actually matched fairly well with the chaps, added a bunch of bling and some glitter paint and had a whole new look to the doll. This was a fun redo. I actually also really like the way it all came together. I might need to do some other dolls in a similar look. Though maybe also with different colored fabric mixed in instead of just glitter paint (though I do love the glitter paint!) I'll have to see what I can come up with.
This trio of dolls is all set and ready to head home. The youth doll ended up being almost as tall as the other dolls, but she fits her saddle, which is what matters most.

I hadn't realized glitter paint would be so in scale. That's a great do-over.
