Saddlebags

I almost have a mental block when it comes to making saddlebags these days. I don't have any trouble cutting out the pieces, but the next step is ironing them. I can't skip this step because if I do, they will not be the proper shape when they are finished. Or they will look sloppy at the very least.
There are actually a lot of steps involved in making saddle bags. Cutting out the pieces, ironing the tiny pieces into the correct shapes, cutting out the lining pieces, putting in the lining pieces. Making the mesh pockets is another step that stops me often. It is not hard to do, but it is one of those things I don't much like doing. Anyway, after all of those things happen, I still have to make the loops and handles, the water bottle holders, and put everything together. Saddlebags definitely take a lot of steps and a lot of time. But I have finally made some progress on them. I have some more in the works, at various steps of the process, and will have 12 sets available at my live sale on March 27th. At least that is the plan. I have not actually finished them yet, so it may be less.
Little Elecktra arrived in Indiana recently for a visit with Allison Pareis. I am sure she will have a fun time with the dolls that live there. NaMoPaiMo is happening so there is the potentially for all sorts of shenanigans. Which is definitely something to look forward to.

I can't wait until Elecktra meets Action Stan and (hopefully) Action Allison!
